President Bush and Services provided at USO-Metro JBM-HH USO Honor Guard Lounge
“As we mourn the passing of an American hero, our nation’s 41st President, George H.W. Bush, I am proud to share with you how our USO is taking care of some of the military men and women who made today’s funeral services possible. Thanks to the tremendous support of our USO-Metro volunteers, our board members and corporate supporters, over the past three days we have provided breakfast, lunch and dinner to more than 350 military members from all five branches of service at our USO Honor Guard Lounge at Joint Base Myer Henderson-Hall. We will continue our support through this evening and into the early hours tomorrow.
It is fitting that our USO is a part of showing the love and support of the American people for President Bush considering that he was the son of USO co-founder Prescott Bush. I personally want to thank all of our board members for making it possible for USO-Metro to do all that we do in support of our nation’s military. I’m so proud to be part of this tremendous organization.”
